The climatic extremes of the Carpathian Basin force local botanicals into a constant state of biological defense. That defense shows up as chemistry: a measurably higher density of antioxidants and bioactive compounds than the same species grown in a milder climate.
We don't source "extracts" in the abstract. We source the plant's entire bioactive profile — the resilience itself, pressed into the bottle.
Native First, and nothing wasted.
Where we can, we source directly from our own land and from growers within the region. Where technology does the job better, we bring in the cleanest European inputs available — including upcycled seed oils that would otherwise go to waste. We are not chasing borders. We are chasing purity and a smaller footprint.
Geographic sourcing is a discipline we are actively building, not a finished archive. Coordinate-level documentation exists for some botanicals already and is in progress for the rest, plot by plot, harvest by harvest. We would rather tell you it's underway than claim a completeness we don't yet have.
Boldogasszony tenyere
Tanacetum balsamitaSlender, velvet-textured leaves and small, button-like yellow flowers. Delicate to look at, remarkably resilient in practice — it re-established itself on a plot of our own family's land after fifteen years untouched. It's now rare to find.
Symbolically, it's known as a feminine protector — "Mary's palm." Cosmetically, it carries anti-inflammatory, tissue-regenerating, toning properties, with potential against pigmentation. This is the plant behind the remaïa mark.
